Earlier this year Intel released the Iris Xe graphics card

Graphics processors are nothing new to Intel. If you have ever bought a cheap PC or laptop with an Intel base, usually for display output, it has used the onboard VGA chip. While it's not that great for hardcore gamers, it's still sufficient for public and office activities.

However, it seems that Intel is now plunging into the world of graphics cards. Recently, the company has released Intel Iris Xe. Previously at the CES 2020 event, Iris Xe had indeed been exhibited there. Now, the GPU is finally ready to be marketed widely.

Intel doesn't make the GPU itself, but it will work closely with other manufacturers such as ASUS. This is quite standard considering companies like AMD and NVIDIA also rely on ASUS and other manufacturers to produce their GPUs.

However, don't get too excited about this GPU especially if you're hoping for heavy duty usage. The Intel Iris Xe GPU wasn't really designed for gaming. However, Iris Xe can enable 4K monitor support, HDR, AI, AV1 content decoding, Adaptive Sync, and more.
